Over the course of the final term of my M.A. at CSUF, one of my classes was Real Analysis, which is where we essentially prove the foundations of Calculus. While we covered topics you generally learn early on in Calculus, the proofs we had to do were initially quite challenging for me because I was not used to continuously asking the question ‘why can I do/use this?’ in my math classes. However, I quickly got the hang of it and continued with the class pretty well. For the end of the term, we collected all of our proofs we did throughout the term and compiled them into one document showcasing our progression in proof writing, math understanding, and pedagogy.
